Overview

GPT for Slides is a Google Slides add-on operated by IndianAppGuy Tech Private Limited and offered under the MagicSlides brand. Throughout these Terms, the words "we", "us", and "our" refer to MagicSlides.app. The terms apply to your use of the GPT for Slides Google Workspace add-on (the "Add-on"), available on the Google Workspace Marketplace, and the website https://www.gptforslides.app (the "Site"), along with any related information, tools, and services (collectively, the "Service").

By installing the Add-on, visiting the Site, or purchasing a paid plan, you engage in our Service and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, including any additional terms and policies referenced herein (such as our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy). If you do not agree, you may not use the Add-on or the Site.

Any new features or tools added to the Add-on or Site are also subject to these Terms. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time by posting changes here; continued use constitutes acceptance.

Our billing is hosted by Stripe, Inc., which provides the online billing platform that allows us to sell paid plans of the Add-on.

1. Eligibility

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you have given us your consent to allow any minor dependents under your supervision to use the Add-on.

You may not use the Add-on for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, nor may you violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including copyright laws) when using the Service.

You must not transmit any worms, viruses, or code of a destructive nature through the Add-on or Site. A breach of any of these Terms will result in immediate termination of your access.

2. General Conditions

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

You understand that your content (not including payment card information) may be transferred unencrypted and may involve (a) transmissions over various networks and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Payment card information is always encrypted during transfer.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Add-on, its Service, or access to the Service without our express written permission.

3. Accuracy, Completeness, and Timeliness of Information

We are not responsible if information made available through the Add-on or Site is not accurate, complete, or current — including AI-generated slide content. Material is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary sources. Any reliance is at your own risk.

4. Modifications to the Service and Prices

Prices for paid plans are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Add-on or any part of the Service without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

5. Products and Services

We reserve the right to limit availability of paid plans to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction, and to limit quantities of any plan. All descriptions and pricing are subject to change at our sole discretion. We do not warrant that the quality of any services or AI-generated output will meet your expectations or that errors in the Service will be corrected.

6. Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

We reserve the right to refuse any order. We may limit or cancel purchases per person, per household, or per order — including orders using the same account, payment card, or billing address. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information and to promptly update it so that we can complete transactions and contact you as needed.

7. Optional Tools

We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we have no control. You acknowledge that such tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties. Any use is at your own risk and subject to the relevant third-party provider's terms.

8. Third-Party Links

Certain content and services available via the Add-on or Site may include materials from third parties, and our Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for those materials or websites, and we are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods or services made in connection with any third-party websites.

9. User Comments, Feedback, and Other Submissions

If you send us creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, or other materials ("comments"), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate, and otherwise use those comments in any medium. We are under no obligation to keep comments in confidence, to pay compensation, or to respond.

You agree your comments will not violate any third party's rights and will not contain unlawful, abusive, obscene material, or malware. You are solely responsible for any comments you make.

10. Personal Information

Your submission of personal information, and our handling of Google user data accessed through the Add-on, is governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Errors, Inaccuracies, and Omissions

Occasionally there may be information in the Add-on, Site, or Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions — including plan descriptions, pricing, promotions, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information or cancel orders at any time without prior notice.

12. Prohibited Uses

In addition to other prohibitions set forth in these Terms, you are prohibited from using the Add-on, Site, or its content:

  • for any unlawful purpose;
  • to solicit others to perform or participate in unlawful acts;
  • to violate any international, federal, provincial, state, or local regulation, rule, law, or ordinance;
  • to infringe upon our or any third party's intellectual property rights;
  • to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, intimidate, or discriminate;
  • to submit false or misleading information;
  • to upload or transmit viruses or any malicious code that may affect the functionality of the Service, Google's services, or any related website;
  • to collect or track the personal information of others;
  • to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape;
  • for any obscene or immoral purpose;
  • to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service, Google Slides, Google Drive, Google Sheets, or any related website.

We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service for violating any of the prohibited uses.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee, represent, or warrant that your use of the Add-on or Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant that results obtained from the use of the Service — including AI-generated slides — will be accurate or reliable.

You agree that from time to time we may remove the Service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the Service at any time, without notice to you.

The Add-on and all products delivered through it are provided "as is" and "as available" without any representation, warranties, or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.

In no case shall MagicSlides.app, IndianAppGuy Tech Private Limited, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers, or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or similar damages — arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of their possibility. Where applicable law does not allow such exclusions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MagicSlides.app and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed severed from these Terms.

16. Termination

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive termination. These Terms are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the Add-on from your Google account and notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services. If we suspect that you have failed to comply with any term of these Terms, we may terminate this agreement at any time without notice; you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination.

17. Entire Agreement

Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms, together with any policies or operating rules posted by us, constitute the entire agreement between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Data Use

We use your data solely to understand your requirements and to provide and improve the Add-on. We do not use your data — or any Google user data accessed through the Add-on — for marketing, profiling, advertising, or any unrelated analytics. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Third-Party AI Providers

We do not use DeepSeek, OpenRouter, or Claude models in the Add-on. For certain functionalities, we may send your queries to OpenAI or Gemini (coming soon). These providers may temporarily process and store your data per their privacy policies. We ensure these providers adhere to strict privacy standards and do not use your data for any other purpose.

Content Policy

GPT for Slides does not allow or provide any adult (18+) content. The Add-on is suitable for all ages and for use in educational and professional contexts.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Add-on, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@magicslides.app. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Refund Policy

Your satisfaction matters. We offer a 5-day refund policy for all new purchases of paid plans. See our full Refund Policy for eligibility, process, and important notes. Key points:

  • Refunds are available within 5 calendar days of the initial purchase of a paid plan (first-time purchases of each plan tier only).
  • Refunds are not available for renewal payments or plan upgrades.
  • Email support@magicslides.app with your account email and reason within 5 days. We process within 2 business days; funds may take 5–10 business days to appear.
  • For annual subscriptions, we offer pro-rated refunds if requested within the first 30 days.

19. Changes to Terms of Service

You can review the most current version of the Terms at any time on this page. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms by posting updates and changes. Your continued use of the Add-on or Site following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Data Handling and Security

At MagicSlides.app, we prioritize the security and privacy of our users' data. To ensure the highest level of protection for your personal and sensitive information — including any Google user data accessed through the Add-on — we implement robust data handling and security measures throughout the Service.

  • Storage Security: Our data storage solutions are SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, adhering to stringent standards designed to safeguard all customer data.
  • Encryption: All customer data is encrypted at rest using AES-256, and all data transmitted to and from the Service is encrypted in transit via TLS.
  • API Integrations: Our Service integrates with established API providers, including OpenAI and Gemini (coming soon), and with Google APIs (Slides, Drive, Sheets). We ensure these integrations adhere to our privacy and security standards.

Third-Party Sharing

GPT for Slides is transparent about third-party integrations:

  • OpenAI Integration: Our Service integrates with OpenAI for certain functionalities. When utilizing OpenAI through our standard offerings, data is temporarily stored by OpenAI for a period of up to 30 days. OpenAI does not use this data for purposes outside of providing the necessary services to us.
  • Enterprise / Team Accounts Option: Enterprise and team account users may bring their own OpenAI API keys, ensuring data processed through OpenAI is managed under your account.
  • Google APIs: When the Add-on performs actions you initiate (for example, inserting slides into your presentation or reading a selected Google Sheet), data is exchanged with Google APIs under Google's terms and only within the scopes you authorize. We do not sell Google user data.

Compliance with International Data Protection Laws

While we have not sought specific certifications under international data protection laws such as GDPR or CCPA, we are committed to maintaining high standards of privacy and data protection that resonate with the principles of these laws.

  • Data Storage and Sharing: User data is not shared with third parties, except for essential service integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Google APIs), where user data is handled with care and respect for privacy.
  • User Control: Enterprise and team accounts may use personal OpenAI API keys to minimize data sharing. Any user can revoke the Add-on's Google access at any time from their Google Account permissions page.
  • Ongoing Commitment: We continuously monitor our data handling practices to align with globally recognized privacy standards as international data protection laws evolve.

Data Subject Rights

We recognize the importance of your data rights and are committed to ensuring you have full control over your personal information.

  • Access and Update: Contact our support team or use the Add-on to access or update your personal information.
  • Data Deletion: To delete your account and associated data, email us at support@magicslides.app and we will promptly facilitate the deletion from our systems.
  • Data Use: We do not use your data — or any Google user data — for purposes outside of providing and improving the Add-on.
  • Request Fulfillment: Our team will act promptly to comply with your data-rights requests.

Use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our approach to cookies and tracking varies between the Site and the Add-on:

  • Website (gptforslides.app): Uses cookies to improve user experience, analyze site traffic, and personalize content. These may include essential cookies for functionality, as well as performance and analytics cookies. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies.
  • Google Slides Add-on: The Add-on is designed with a focus on privacy and does not use cookies or tracking technologies inside the Google Slides sidebar. Your use of the Add-on remains private and secure, with no data tracked or recorded beyond what is necessary to fulfill the actions you initiate.
